FTBI conducted a workshop titled 'Mastering the Art of Investor Pitching: Strategies for Effective Presentations, Product Marketing, and Business Growth' on 24th October 2024, led by the President of RCCI.

FTBI NIT Rourkela conducted a two-day workshop on 3D printing for school students on 26th and 27th October 2024, and another on 28th and 29th November 2024.

FTBI organized a pitching session on 8th August 2024 in the Conference Room at FTBI. Thirty delegates from the Rourkela Chamber of Commerce and Industries, led by President Prabhat Kumar Tibrewal and General Secretary Shubham Kapoor, participated in the session. They also visited the FTBI facility, interacted with our startups, offered valuable suggestions for their future, and invited them to the RCCI.

FTBI-NIT Rourkela proudly joins the global community in celebrating World Intellectual Property Day. This day is celebrated every year on April 26 aiming to raise awareness about intellectual property (IP) rights and its role in encouraging innovation and creativity. Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu {Senior Regional Manager & Program Head, WIPO-Technology Innovation Support Centre (TISC), NRDC} and Dr. Manisha Acharya (Project Director at EY) were our keynote speakers. 

FTBI-NIT Rourkela is taking the initiative to spread the startup ecosystem in this part of the country. Today, we conducted a boot camp at BPUT, Rourkela and Indian Institute for Production Management (IIPM), Kansbahal on 20th and 21st Feb 2024. We encourage the youth toward entrepreneurship, motivate them, and listen to their innovative ideas.

Team FTBI-NIT Rourkela participated in the "India International Science Festival 2023" in Faridabad. A diverse array of 15 incubation centres from across the nation took part in this event. The FTBI team, representing a selection of its startups such as Coratia Technologies, Aurassure Pvt. Ltd, and Skill Shores RIC Solutions Pvt Ltd, seized a remarkable opportunity to showcase and emphasize their innovative products and technological development concepts to an audience keen on scientific advancements from 17th to 20th Jan 2024.

FTBI-NIT Rourkela organized Mahanadi Coalfields Limited sponsored Startup Carnival 2023 at O-Hub Bhubaneswar on 11th December 2023 showcasing an 'Exhibition-cum-Sale' by incubated startups. 

On 30th Nov 2023 Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, visited the Foundation for Technology and Business Incubation at NIT Rourkela and interacted with young founders & CEOs of startups incubated at FTBI. He encouraged them to focus on problem-solving and contribute to the transformative journey towards Viksit Bharat.

FTBI-NIT Rourkela organized MCL MCL-sponsored Innovation Carnival 2023 showcasing an 'Innovation Exhibition' by school students & an 'Exhibition-cum-Sale' by incubated startups on 20th Nov 2023. 

FTBI- NIT Rourkela conducted a startup Odisha bootcamp at FTBI-NIT Rourkela on 17th October 2023.

FTBI-NIT Rourkela hosted a startup induction program on the 4th of October 2023 for 32 startups supported by schemes under DST NIDHI-PRAYAS, DST-NIDHI EIR, and MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). During the event, a total of Rs. 1 Crore 50 Lakhs was disbursed to support these selected startups. Ms. Sushma Bilung, OAS, CEO of DMF Sundargarh graced the event as the Chief Guest. The chairman of FTBI-NITR Centre Prof. K. Umamaheshwar Rao (Director-NITR) also joined the programme.

FTBI- NIT Rourkela conducted a Startup20 Sabha at Utkalmani Gopabandhu Institute of Engineering on 19th June 2023 with the chief guest, Honorable Director of NIT Rourkela, Prof. K Umamaheshwar Rao.

FTBI-NIT Rourkela conducted a Startup challenge competition at Utkalmani Gopabandhu Institute of Engineering and S.K.D.A.V. Government Polytechnic on 15th and 17th May 2023.

On 17th April 2023, around 200 students from 35 schools participated in the 'G20 JanBhagidari Youth Fair' organized by FTBI, NIT, Rourkela, Odisha. The event featured an innovation competition, workshops on waste management and water purification, as well as details on schemes provided by MSME sponsored by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited.

FTBI conducted a startup ecosystem meet at Suryansh hotel Bhubaneswar on 25th March 2023, Chief Guest Shri P. K. Gupta, Joint Director & H.O.O MSME DI Cuttack and Guest of Honour, Mr. Kamal Sahoo, Head, Odisha Chapter, Federation Of Indian Export Organisations (Set up by Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India), honorable Director NIT Prof. K Umamaheswar Rao, and head of center Prof. Manoj Kumar Mishra graced the inaugural session.

"Budding Entrepreneurs" workshop held at FTBI, NIT Rourkela on 11th march 2023. The event featured keynote speakers Ms. Lisa M., Founder and CEO of Hofeto, and Madhura DasGupta Sinha, Founder, and CEO of Aspire For Her, who shared their journey and insights into entrepreneurship.

On 26th August 2022, FTBI-NITR organized a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This offline workshop was sponsored by the Department of Science and technology, the Government of India. 

FTBI has organized MeitY sponsored 3-days workshop(3rd to 5th August 2022) on “3D Printers and PCB Milling Machines” for incubated startups. Shri Deepak Kumar Nayak (Director, MSME Rourkela) graced the program as the Chief Guest and interacted with the team of 20 startups from FTBI-NITR.

FTBI organized a 3-day hands-on workshop (8th to 10th May 2022) on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning” for class VIII & IX students from different schools located in Rourkela.Dr. Subhankar Mohapatra (Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation) graced the event as the Chief Guest. Prof. K Umamaheshwar Rao (Director, NITR and Chairman, FTBI), Shri Siddharth Kocher (MD, Utkal Engineers Pvt Ltd) and Dr. Debayan Sarkar (Head of Centre, FTBI) also graced the inauguration ceremony as Guest of Honor.

FTBI, NIT Rourkela organized a seminar cum workshop at FTBI Smart seminar hall, Sponsored by MCL, in collaboration with Biotez Agrinovation Pvt. Ltd. The concerned seminar and workshop, titled ‘Advanced Innovation and Opportunities in Agri-Tech Entrepreneurship’, is to be conducted from 5th-7th May 2022.
