FTBI–TEXMiN invites students, researchers, and innovators to apply for the following three grant programs under the Mining CPS Center of Excellence. These grants aim to support product development, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the mining and allied sectors through Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).

1. UG/PG Fellowship Program

Eligibility:

• UG/PG students from NIT Rourkela.

• Must be working under a mentor on a CPS-aligned mining project.

• Individual applicants only.

Grant Value: ₹10,000 per month for 10 months (A one-time fellowship for individuals who are not receiving any financial support or fellowship from any other source)
Duration: Up to 10 months
Number of Fellowships Available: 4

Key Focus Areas:

• 4S Mining (Safe, Smart, Sustainable, and Social)

• Mine Safety using AI/ML & CPS

• Critical & Rare Earth Mineral Exploration

• Green Mining Innovations

2. Technology Development (TD) Grant (Application Closed)

Eligibility:

• Faculty members of NIT Rourkela.

• Must propose a Technology Development project aligned with FTBI-TEXMiN CoE domains.

• Must have a commercialization vision.

Grant Value: Up to ₹15,00,000 per project
Duration: Up to 24 months
Number of Projects Supported: 2 per year

Key Domains:

• CPS-enabled Mining Technologies

• Green and Sustainable Mining

• Circular Economy for Mining

• Exploration to Beneficiation Technologies

3. Pre-Incubation Grant (Application Closed)

Eligibility:

• Students, alumni, or innovators affiliated with NIT Rourkela.

• Mining Idea or prototype must be at POC, lab stage, or higher.

• Individual or team applicants.

Grant Value: Up to ₹2,00,000 per project
Duration: Up to 12 months
Number of Grants Available: 5 per year

Focus Areas:

• Product development

• Prototype refinement

• Market validation and business model

3. Submit the filled hard copy to the FTBI Office at NIT Rourkela by 10th September 2025.
