3-days Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML)” scheduled on 8th, 9th and 10th May 2022 from 09:00 am – 01:00 pm.

Workshop Structure :

  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & their practical applications.

  • Image Processing & Computer Vision in Robotics.

  • Introduction to IOT architecture.

  • Microcontrollers & Microprocessors Arduino, Raspberry pi & microcontrollers involvement in Robotics.

  • Complete development procedure (PRACTICAL) for a Robotic Arm Advancement of IOT in Robotics

  • Hands-On-Workshop on Fabrication & Testing of Autonomous Path Tracking Robot.

Participants will be divided into teams by us and will be notified later.

All participants will be provided with Participation Certificate and

  • ₹ 5000 /- to Winner Team

  • ₹ 3000 /- to 1st Runners Up Team

  • ₹ 2000 /- to 2nd Runners Up Team

FTBI organised a Workshop on "Fostering Conducive Ecosystem for Innovators" on 27th February 2019

FTBI had organised a Workshop on “Fostering Conducive Ecosystem for Innovators” on 27th February, 2019 at Conference Room, FTBI. The workshop had the below 5 themes for deliberation: 

1. Inclusive development
2. Unleashing potential of Indian Agriculture - Increasing wealth creation and employment
3. Healthcare and Nutrition
4. Scaling up and commercialization of innovations
5. Waste to Wealth

 

and had comprised 5 sessions of one-hour duration each. The Subject Experts from different departments of NIT Rourkela were invited for the session.

FTBI Conducts its 4th Incubatee induction Meeting on 30th January 2019

FTBI evaluated the Idea Proposals for Incubatee Induction on 30th January 2019 at Conference Room, FTBI.

Twelve individual participating teams presented their ideas in front of the respected Professor Committee Members of NITR. The respected Professor Committee evaluated the presentations thoroughly, discussed from each and every participant team and shared their valuable feed backs and review remarks. The selected teams were allowed for pre-incubation at FTBI and funding support. Expectations during the pre-incubation is

  • to develop the ideas into concrete business plans and

  • to work in parallel on developing the prototypes 

  • to build a core team utilizing the ecosystem of the pre- incubation 

  • company registration of the proposed startup.

Dr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group  and Dr. Santrupt B Misra , Chairperson (BOG) visit to FTBI

FTBI  had a great privilege to welcome Dr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group  and Dr. Santrupt B Misra , Chairperson (BOG) during their visit to grace the  16th Annual Convocation of NIT Rourkela on  19th January 2019 (Saturday).  They were  accompanied by Dr. Animesh Biswas (Director NITR), other renowned alumni of NITR and respected Deans and HODs. The Honorable Guests had a brief interaction with the members from startup companies and teams under pre-incubation of FTBI.

They also visited the office of Phoenix Robotix Pvt. Ltd. and interacted with Ms. Akanshya Priyadarshini, Co-founder  of Phoenix Robotix. Pvt. Ltd.

Visit by Padma Shri N.R. Mohanty, ex-chairman HAL, Prof. Damodar Acharya, ex-director of IIT Kharagpur, and other distinguished Alumni and Heads of NITR to FTBI on 5th Jan 2019

Distinguished alumni of NITR Padma Shri Nalini Ranjan Mohanty, ex-chairman Hindustan Aeronautics Limited; Prof. Damodar Acharya, ex-director of IIT Kharagpur; Dr. Om Agrawal, Senior Fellow, Advanced Micro-devices, USA, and a team of few other renowned alumni visited FTBI on  05th January 2019.  The team was accompanied by Dr. Animesh Biswas (Director, NITR), respected Deans, HODs and Professors of NITR. The Honorable Guests visited the Incubation Centre, manufacturing spaces and preincubation space of FTBI and interacted with the founders and co founder members from startup companies and teams under pre-incubation of FTBI.

The team also visited the offices of Phoenix Robotix Pvt. Ltd., Awalk Innovations and Fastech Fashions.
